NHS to treat young cancer patients with expensive 'game changer' drug

Simon Stevens, the NHS chief executive, is to announce a deal with the drug company Novartis on this new drug called Kymriah

The new therapy has a novel idea to collect T cells or white blood cells and engineer them to recognise the cancerous cells which have been hiding un-noticed and they have failed to destroy

Once the t cells have been genetically engineered they should recognise and target a specific protein in the cancer cells

Lets all hope this is successful, fingers crossed !!
